Yes, data is held in accordance with General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and within ISO27001 accredited data centres.

KIT Device

The LED lights will flash green and blue.

Press and hold the Amber Alert button on the device, it will then vibrate and the LED’s will come on.

Press and hold the Amber Alert and Red Alert (SOS) button together, the device will vibrate and the LEDs will turn off.

Place the KIT Device into the cradle provided. Once inserted the unit will click into place, vibrate and the light on the front of the docking station will illuminate.

From 0 – 100% charge it takes approximately 2.5 hours.

Once fully charged, the battery will last up to 40 hours. However, it is always advised to charge the device in its charging cradle when its not in use.

The green light above the Amber Alert button will flash twice.

  1. Wear the device on a belt clip or in the ID card holder. Try to avoid placing the device in your pocket or hand bag to reduce the chance of the Red Alert button being pressed by accident.
  2. If the device enters Man Down accidentally you have 20 seconds to press the Red Alert button (SOS) to cancel the activation.
  3. When in Amber Alert, you will receive a reminder from First2HelpYou 5 minutes before your Amber Alert is about to timeout. If you are OK, please cancel the alert.

ID Badge

Press and hold the power button for 5 seconds, you should feel a long vibration.

The battery light will show as red.

The middle LED light will show a green flash every 3 seconds.

Place the USB charging cable into the side of the ID Badge. The device will be fully charged after 2.5 hours. It can be charged from a vehicle but be aware It will take longer than charging through mains power.

Your ID badge should last your full shift. If it doesn’t then please get in contact with us support@First2HelpYou.co.uk or 0333 772 9402.

If you activate your Man Down in error, you have 20 seconds to cancel it by pressing button 2 for 5 seconds.

When in Amber Alert, you will receive a reminder from First2HelpYou 5 minutes before your Amber Alert is about to timeout. If you are OK, please cancel the alert.

Your device will take any standard ID card or business card which can be inserted into the slot on the side of the badge.

The device is supplied with the lanyard as standard with belt clips on request.

First2HelpYou App

Pay as You Go (PAYG) sim cards should not be used due to the increased risk of failure to connect with the Alarm Receiving Centre (ARC) if the user is low on credit.

The app is very economical, using only 40-60 MB per month.

Follow the below steps:

  • Log into the app Store
  • Search for First2HelpYou
  • Download the application
  • Open the Application
  • Enter your Mobile Phone Number
  • You will receive a code via SMS
  • Enter the code
  • Allow relevant App access

These locations are passed through to the emergency services or escalation contacts if the app enters Red Alert or Man Down mode.

Connect Portal

Connect is an admin portal designed to allow the management team within an organisation to update the user information for their team, download reports and have live visibility of any activations from their employees.

Access can be given to anyone within an organisation that may take responsibility for updating user information or that requires live visibility of their employees lone worker status. This would usually be managers or those within the health and safety team.

Portal log ins can be requested via email support@first2helpyou.co.uk. Once approval from the organisation has been gained, an email will be sent to you with your log in details.

We can set access up as required by your organisation.

All updates made in the portal are available instantly to the operators in the Alarm Receiving Centre (ARC).
