Who is the British Security Industry Authority (BSIA)?
The British Security Industry Association (BSIA) is the trade association for the professional security industry in the UK.
The BSIA is the voice of the professional security industry, supporting and encouraging excellence, educating the marketplace on the value of quality and professional security, and creating an environment to flourish.
BSIA members are industry professionals ranging in size from global companies to small and medium enterprises. Members offer quality products and services to a vast spectrum of end-users. BSIA Membership is the symbol of quality and professionalism in the security industry.
BSIA lone worker section criteria
Companies wishing to join BSIA’s Lone Worker Section must meet the following criteria:
- Lone Worker Service Supplier
- Lone Worker Response Company
- Device Manufacturer of lone worker devices
- Lone worker Alarm Receiving Centre (ARC)
First2HelpYou has been an active member of the BSIA since 2018. Alicia, our Sales & Operations Director, is a committee member within the lone worker section. The committee’s role is to set the lone worker section strategy and vote on decisions on behalf of the wider section membership. Committee members can also play a role in the development and revision of industry standards, as part of the British Standards Institution (BSI) review panels.
BSIA Alarm Receiving Centre (ARC) member
It was recently announced that the BSIA would launch a new section dedicated to Alarm Receiving Centres (ARCs). Our ARC, First County Monitoring (FCM), will be among the first to join.
