L’Oréal Paris and the Suzy Lamplugh Trust partnership

To mark International Anti-Street Harassment Week, the Suzy Lamplugh Trust have announced a groundbreaking partnership with L’Oréal Paris. Their plan is to educate the UK on street harassment through bystander intervention training. The goal is to train 10,000 people annually through online and in-person workshops.

L’Oreal Paris has launched their limited-Edition Color Riche Satin Lipstick, exclusive to Superdrug, and will donate 100% of its profits to the Suzy Lamplugh Trust. The bullet of Lipstick is embossed with a feminist symbol of sorority and comes with the tagline ‘Lipstick is not a Yes’. Thisis because they believe everyone has the right to be safe from all unwanted behaviours, no matter what they wear.

First2HelpYou’s view on Harassment

People must be aware of how to handle harassment when they experience it. First2HelpYou understands that harassment is a serious issue that can have significant consequences if individuals do not have the correct safety measures or the necessary training.

As you may already know, the Suzy Lamplugh Trust was founded following the disappearance of 25-year-old Suzy Lamplugh, an estate agent and lone worker who went to meet a client and never returned. Harassment can take place in any environment, but the workplace is a common space for harassment. For this reason, First2HelpYou provides lone worker devices for positions that are critical to employee safety.

Through the partnership between L’Oréal Paris and Suzy Lamplugh Trust, people in the UK will gain knowledge and confidence in safely addressing street and public harassment when they witness it. We would highly recommend that you register for their hour-long training sessions here. They are free of charge, and anyone can attend.
